October 19th, 1781 British General Charles Cornwallis surrendered to General George Washington in Yorktown after the last major battle of the revolution. Part of the terms of the surrender was the British forces had to turn over their weapons including their artillery. These cannons are part of those artillery pieces. Displayed in Surrender Field, Yorktown Virginia.
